A history… without drama

A few lines summarize almost a half-century of work devoted to protecting the property and increasing the assets of Financière Lanthier's customers.

Founded in 1955 as "Assurances Lanthier", we initially focused on life insurance and later concentrated on property insurance.

From the beginning, we have enjoyed healthy growth by developing our client base and acquiring various firms. The last two decades have been especially busy, involving substantial growth in our corporate services.

The arrival of the 21st century brought change: Assurances Lanthier became Financière Lanthier.  But even with growth and change, we remain true to our roots and our ideals - just in an improved version!

The present
450 - it's our area of business!

We are proud to say Financière Lanthier has been at the service of companies and individuals in the 450 area for almost half a century - since well before the North and South Shores were issued their unique area code!

In fact, our expansion to the North Shore was a strategic choice spurred by intense networking from our clients. Many of them had moved from the South Shore and talked about us with their new friends, neighbors, members of kin… and so on.

This detail says a lot about the way we operate: We have always believed in the importance of building long-term business relationships, and we favour taking a global view of each of our customer's needs.
